On December 8, on the stage of musician Duy Thai's solo concert at the August Theater ( Hai Phong City), singer - lecturer Dao Nguyen Vu performed two songs: Skinny Se and Empty Street.
Sharing about the fate that brought him to the songs of musician Duy Thai, the male singer said that the fate of singing "Pho vong" has kept the two artists together for many years.
"Before, I loved "Pho Void" by musician Duy Thai. The song not only suits my lirico spinto tenor voice but the lyrics are also very profound and emotional," said the male singer.

The male singer said that choosing Pho Void to record his music product was the chance that brought him to Duy Thai's music.
Sharing about the chance meeting with singer Dao Nguyen Vu, Duy Thai said: "Before, I didn't pay attention to Dao Nguyen Vu. But, when I heard Vu singing Pho Vang online, I realized that after Ngoc Tan, there was only one person who could sing like that. Vu's voice is young, resonant and bright. I asked for Vu's phone number to thank the person who sang my song, that's how we came together from then on."
"I was invited by musician Duy Thai to perform at Duy Thai's Music Night on the occasion of the musician receiving the State Prize in 2022. After listening to me perform Pho Void , he sent me the song Con Se Thin for me to perform at the music night on December 8," Dao Nguyen Vu also shared.

"Musician Duy Thai's music suits my aesthetic"
For Dao Nguyen Vu, the music and lyrics of musician Duy Thai are very profound, calm, and close to life. After a period of singing his works, he feels that the songs of the Hai Phong musician are very suitable for his voice and musical aesthetics.
Having been associated with the two songs Pho Vang and Con Se Thin, Dao Nguyen Vu "joined hands" with musician Duy Thai to make a joint album.
"Musician Duy Thai is the initiator of this project. I am very happy and honored to have the trust of such a talented musician," the male singer confided.

Last year, musician Duy Thai had 3 albums with People's Artist Khanh Hoa, artist Bich Lien, and Tuan Long.
He also frankly said: "God gave me life so I can continue to pursue music. I am a difficult person, living to be over 70 years old is quite a long time, I have witnessed all the good and bad things.
I consider Vu to be a good, decent person with the personality of an artist. With Vu, I will exploit the love and human identity that suits both my voice and his personality."
Singer and lecturer Dao Nguyen Vu was born and raised in a family with no musical tradition. He studied vocal music since he was 15 years old.
He won First Prize in the Voice of Vietnam Singing Contest in 1999 and Second Prize in the Hanoi Television Singing Contest in 2000.
Regarding vocal expertise, he received formal training with many veteran artists such as: People's Artist Quy Duong, People's Artist Quang Huy, Meritorious Artist Duc Loc, People's Artist Doan Tan, People's Artist Le Gia Hoi, and People's Artist Trung Kien.
Dao Nguyen Vu graduated with a Master's degree in Vocal Music from the Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2003 and was an opera soloist for many years at the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet before becoming a lecturer in the Vocal Music Department.
Musician Duy Thai is known for the song Words of the Wind , composed in 1985. At that time, he was an actor of the Hai Phong Drama Troupe.
He is currently the Chairman of the Hai Phong City Music Association.
Musician Duy Thai has about more than 300 songs. He has published Duy Thai Song Collection , 6 albums of love songs on his personal Youtube channel and organized many music nights in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City. He was awarded the State Prize in 2022.
