Recommendations and difficulties of Dien Ban town will be considered and resolved

(QNO) - This afternoon, June 14, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Phan Viet Cuong chaired a meeting between the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the People's Committee of Dien Ban town on socio -economic development in the first 6 months of 2023, preparing necessary contents for the upcoming Provincial People's Council meeting.

According to the People's Committee of Dien Ban town, compared to the same period in 2022, the town's industrial production value decreased by 13.67%; total grain output reached 42,377 tons, an increase of 1,991 tons; the total compensation and support value of 18 compensation plans of 16 approved projects was about 31.2 billion VND, about 123.5 billion VND lower than the first 6 months of 2022.

The town government has completely resolved the backlog of land records; continued to implement the project of surveying, establishing a cadastral network, issuing land use right certificates, and building a database for Vinh Dien, Dien Nam Trung, and Dien Nam Dong wards.

The town has also completed and submitted to the province for consideration the plan to name the roads in 2023. Expanding the implementation of projects such as: developing and applying information technology, building a digital government of the town; developing a number of cultural fields, broadcasting career in the period of 2022 - 2026; developing sustainable agriculture .

The locality is implementing 14 projects in all areas of life and society. Receiving and processing citizen identification card applications for 189,047 cases (reaching 97.3%) and activating electronic identification accounts for 9,486 cases (rate of 6.9%). The town's one-stop department has processed 10,297/11,265 applications (143 online applications) with a rate of prepaid and on-time applications of 71.35%.

The total budget revenue of the town as of June 30 is estimated at 1,282.048/2,790.3 billion VND (reaching 45.95% of the estimate assigned by the Town People's Council) and the total budget expenditure is more than 747.3 billion VND. The volume of implementation of 252 projects invested by the town in 2023 (as of May 31) is about 1,600 billion VND, reaching 35% of the total investment, but the disbursement rate is only 21%. The locality has created jobs for 3,200 workers, lent 391 households a total of 61.5 billion VND, and exported 10 workers to Japan.

The town admits that the disbursement of public investment capital is low; site clearance and resettlement have been focused on and directed strongly, but there are still some lingering problems, especially key projects and projects in industrial clusters that have not been completely resolved. The management of planning and construction order is still inadequate and has not been detected and handled promptly. The pressure on schools and teachers in the Eastern wards has not been resolved...

At the meeting, the town government proposed many issues such as: building a dam to prevent saltwater intrusion and retain fresh water on Vinh Dien River; managing and operating the domestic water supply system, handling environmental sanitation in Go Noi commune; requesting to compensate for the 2022 budget deficit, supporting capital that has been paid back to the budget, supplementing funds to support people facing difficulties due to the epidemic, allocating funds to pay off outstanding debts for basic construction; increasing the allocation of additional staff, building schools, piloting the construction of databases...

According to Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Phan Viet Cuong, the town needs to quickly implement support programs for businesses to restore production and business, minimize unemployment in factories and plants; end and properly resolve complaints and denunciations; review socio-economic development indicators, overcome difficulties, and strive to complete the 2023 plan.

Comrade Phan Viet Cuong said that all difficulties or recommendations of the town will be synthesized and selected by relevant departments and branches, and notified to the Provincial People's Council for consideration, handling, and resolution for the locality according to its authority.
