Helicopter squadrons take off: Ho Chi Minh City shines with yellow stars

On the morning of April 30, at Bien Hoa Airport ( Dong Nai ), the atmosphere of preparation for the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) of the Air Defense - Air Force Service took place in a spirit of urgency, seriousness and full of enthusiasm.

At exactly 7:38 a.m., squadrons of helicopters (Mi-8, Mi-17 and Mi-171), Su-30MK2, Yak-130 began to take off, ready for the mission of flying to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

According to VNA reporters, from 3:00 a.m. on April 30, the forces participating in the preparation for the ceremony of the Air Defense - Air Force were present in full, deployed the work of reviewing the formation, completing the organization and implementing the preparations for the official ceremony.

The officers and soldiers all demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, new spirit and determination to excellently complete the assigned tasks. Preparations for facilities, techniques and means for the celebration were carried out carefully and in accordance with regulations. Ground technical staff carried out a meticulous technical inspection of the aircraft, ensuring that the equipment was always ready for takeoff.

Before departure, a pilot performing the saluting flight at the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day said that the officers and soldiers of the Air Defense - Air Force were very honored and proud to contribute their efforts to the success of the ceremony. This was an opportunity for the officers and soldiers to review the glorious traditions of the nation and the Vietnam People's Army.

By 6:30 a.m. the same day, basic preparations were completed, the pilots and aircraft were ready to perform their tasks excellently, creating a beautiful performance at the Ceremony.
