Little girl Karina has an IQ of 160, putting her in the top 0.03% of the world's population in terms of intelligence.

Karina Oakley, the only daughter of Charlotte Fraser, a Guildford-based marketer, and Nick, a programmer with a background in Physics and Mathematics, showed early signs of intelligence inherited from her father. Despite living with only her mother, Karina showed a remarkable difference from her peers, especially in her language skills. Charlotte Fraser soon realized this and sought out psychologists to better understand her daughter's talent.

"From the moment she could speak, Karina amazed everyone around her with her ability to use language beyond her age," Charlotte shared. When Karina was 3 years old, her mother took her to London to take the necessary IQ tests to more accurately assess her intelligence. The 45-minute test results in London showed that Karina had an IQ of up to 160, putting her in the top 0.03% of the world's population in terms of intelligence.

Psychologist Joan Freeman, who administered the test to Karina, could not hide her surprise at her abilities. "Karina has an imagination and cognitive abilities that are different from other children her age. She is truly a special case," said Ms. Freeman.

After her trip to London, Charlotte decided not to push Karina into a specializededucation for gifted children. Instead, she allowed her daughter to attend a nearby preschool, where she could learn and develop alongside her peers. “I wanted Karina to have a happy and balanced childhood, without the pressure of proving herself or competing with anyone,” Charlotte explains.

Charlotte also expressed concern for the fate of child prodigies, many of whom have not had happy lives or ended up with bad endings due to their rapid development. Karina's story and the choices her family made have received much public attention. Despite her outstanding abilities, Karina and her family chose to live a normal life, away from the media spotlight and the pressure of becoming a prominent researcher.

To this day, Karina lives a simple, happy life in Guildford, where she is free to develop her imagination and abilities in the most natural way. Karina's family's choice is not only a lesson in respecting and nurturing talent in a humane way, but also a testament to the fact that happiness does not necessarily come from achieving outstanding achievements.
