The Mao Dien Temple of Literature, a special national historical site, has been selected as one of three locations participating in Hai Duong province's "I Love Vietnam So Much" project.

Outstanding results

At the end of 2024, Cam Giang district continued to lead the new rural development movement in Hai Duong province. The district had achieved 242 out of 247 criteria for advanced and model new rural development; averaging nearly 18.62 criteria per commune. Of the district's 13 communes, 7 had achieved advanced new rural development standards, and 6 had achieved model new rural development standards.

Cam Giang district has currently met 5 out of 9 criteria for an advanced new rural district, including: planning, irrigation and disaster mitigation, electricity, economy , and security, order, and public administration. The remaining 4 criteria that have not been met are transportation, culture, health and education, and quality of living environment.

A prime example in Cam Giang is the movement to donate land for road construction. The District Party Committee issued Resolution No. 23 on strengthening the leadership of Party committees in mobilizing people to donate land use rights (land donation) for the state to expand transportation routes in the district. By the end of 2024, nearly 100 inter-village and inter-commune roads in the entire district had been registered for upgrading and expansion based on the people's consent to donate land.

Party committees and authorities at all levels in the district are focusing intensely on implementing state management of land and environment, resolutely combating violations of traffic corridors and irrigation works…

The district is focusing on accelerating the progress of land clearance for the construction of 16 key projects and works. 19 key projects and residential areas in the district have been auctioned off for land use fees, creating a source of revenue for all three levels of government, and laying the foundation for a breakthrough in the district's budget revenue.

Focus on reviewing, adjusting, and implementing district-level regional plans; the expanded Lai Cach urban development plan and the expanded Cam Giang town plan; general plans for communes in accordance with the provincial general plan; and planning and determining land use plans in a rigorous and efficient manner.

The communal ponds that were encroached upon in Quy Duong village have now been transformed into swimming pools and public sports fields, creating a completely new rural space.

Effectively implement administrative procedure reforms and build a strong government. Complete the election of village and residential area heads.

Cam Giang focuses on addressing the shortage of teachers and classrooms, and improving the quality of advanced education and training in the period 2023-2025, with a vision to 2030.

The entire political system demonstrated its strength in preventing, responding to, and effectively mitigating the consequences of Typhoon No. 3 and the resulting floods.

In 2024, Cam Giang district completed and exceeded 12 key socio-economic targets. The total value of production is estimated at 116,000 billion VND, an increase of 12%. Of this, the value of agricultural and fisheries production increased by 0.8%; the value of industry and construction increased by 12.2%; and the value of trade and services increased by 12%. The district's total budget revenue exceeded 1,000 billion VND for the first time, 2.36 times the provincial budget estimate, an increase of 65% compared to 2023. Average income is estimated at 78.4 million VND/person/year, an increase of 6.3 million VND/person compared to 2023. The average value of agricultural production is estimated at 211.5 million VND/ha (compared to 189 million VND/ha in 2023), higher than the provincial average (205 million VND/ha).

Indicators related to labor, employment, population, health, education, and culture have all met or exceeded targets. Political security and social order have been maintained; local defense and military affairs have been well-maintained. Both the District Military Command and the District Police Department achieved the title of "Unit of Victory" in 2024.

Finish line

Average income to reach 86 million VND/person/year.

Budget revenue continues to maintain growth of 10% or more. Average agricultural production value reaches 215 million VND/hectare or more. At least 2,600 new jobs are created. The natural population growth rate reaches 0.92%. Maintain the rate of cultured families above 95%; cultured villages and residential areas above 98%; and over 95% of all units achieving the status of cultured agencies; at least one commune or town achieves the status of a comprehensively exemplary unit.

The pond banks and bamboo groves of yesteryear have now become ecological parks in the countryside.

Complete the criteria for advanced new rural districts. Improve indicators related to health, education, etc.

To successfully accomplish the above task, Cam Giang district has adopted the motto: "Accelerate, break through, reach the finish line."
