Cam Xuyen district (Ha Tinh) has completed 22/25 socio -economic targets for 2023 according to the set plan.
On the morning of December 12, the Party Executive Committee of Cam Xuyen district held a conference to assess the socio-economic situation in 2023, deploy tasks for 2024 and give opinions on a number of contents under its authority. In 2023, overcoming many difficulties and challenges, Cam Xuyen district achieved many outstanding results in all fields. The whole district had 22/25 socio-economic targets achieved and exceeded the set plan. The remaining 3 targets: number of newly established cooperatives, model new rural communes, and advanced new rural communes did not complete the plan.
The total production value of the district reached over 9,700 billion VND (an increase of 13% compared to 2022, equal to 103% of the plan). Industry - construction , trade - services - tourism grew strongly; agricultural production achieved comprehensive results, the highest rice yield in the province. Land conversion continued to be expanded; organic agricultural production gradually affirmed its effectiveness.
In the new rural construction, Cam Vinh commune has been recognized as a model new rural commune and Cam Due commune has been recognized as an advanced new rural commune. The whole district has 15 more model new rural residential areas and 5 3-star OCOP products.
Investment attraction continues to have positive signals, with 2 projects being granted investment certificates and 5 projects signing cooperation memorandums. Total budget revenue in the area is estimated at over 400 billion VND (exceeding the plan assigned by the province and equal to 117% compared to 2022).
Head of the Propaganda Department of Cam Xuyen District Party Committee, Bien Van Thuyet, disseminated a number of contents on collective and individual review work in 2023.
Site clearance work was focused on and implemented on schedule, especially the North-South Expressway project. Culture and society had many changes; the quality of education and training continued to improve, participating in competitions with high achievements, among the top in the province; social policies were implemented promptly, social security was ensured.
Administrative reform has been strengthened and changed positively, digital transformation has been focused on, the rate of online public service records has been raised; public reception and petition handling have been highly focused; national defense and security have been maintained.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and evaluating the results achieved in 2023 and analyzing the shortcomings and limitations; proposing solutions to implement tasks in 2024. The conference also gave opinions on the contents expected to be submitted to the regular meeting at the end of 2023 of the 20th term District People's Council; contributed comments on the draft working regulations of the District Party Executive Committee and the District Party Committee's Inspection Commission, term XXXII, 2020-2025; draft Resolution of the District Party Executive Committee on socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in 2024 and contents under its authority.
In 2024, Cam Xuyen District Party Committee strives to build a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee; build a team of cadres to meet the tasks in the new period. The whole district continues to promote high-tech agricultural production, organic production, improve quality and competitiveness; resolutely implement the construction and completion of the criteria for the district to meet advanced NTM standards; implement key projects on industry, services and tourism, creating development momentum in all fields.

Concluding the conference, Cam Xuyen District Party Secretary Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized that in order to carry out the tasks of 2024, the District Party Committee has synchronously deployed solutions from the beginning of the year with the highest determination to prepare for the new term.
