In the early morning of April 7th, six houses in Van An ward, Bac Ninh city, were swept into the Cau River by landslides. While the landslides did not cause any casualties, they resulted in significant property damage.

In the early morning of April 7th, at the location from K49+750 to K49+815 of the right embankment of Cau Bridge, Van Phuc area, Van An ward, Bac Ninh city, a riverbank subsidence occurred, causing landslides that damaged 6 houses belonging to 5 households in the area.
After receiving reports from residents, local authorities evacuated many households in the area and posted warning signs indicating the dangerous zone to ensure safety.
The houses were almost completely destroyed.

According to our reporter's observations, the section of the Cau River flowing through Van An ward is very narrow, and many boats and ships travel and anchor there daily.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ly, whose house has subsided, is currently living in a temporary tent with relatives. "At 2 am on April 7th, my house started to subside. My wife and I ran out of the house and immediately called the authorities to come and deal with it. My house is now completely damaged and uninhabitable," Mr. Ly shared.
Warning signs have been erected around the landslide area.
Landslides continue to occur here, with many cracks appearing.
Local residents and authorities are urgently evacuating from the dangerous area.
In light of the recent developments in the incident, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh City is continuing to focus on directing relevant agencies and units to find solutions to dismantle the collapsed structures and reduce the load on the riverbanks.
