Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ha Long Canned Food Joint Stock Company, said that to ensure continuous operation, the company's shareholders have approved the lease of a 2-hectare plot of land in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (Zone 1), Dong Hai Ward, Hai Phong City, to build a food processing plant. The land lease term is 34 years, until 2059, with a total estimated lease value of over 68 billion VND.

On this land, the company will implement the Ha Long Hai Phong Canned Food Factory Project with a total investment of over 166 billion VND. The capital structure includes approximately 83.7 billion VND of equity capital and over 82.2 billion VND of credit loans.

The new factory is designed with two main production zones, aiming for a total annual revenue of 600 billion VND once it is fully operational. The meat and sausage canning workshop has a capacity of 10 million products per year, with projected revenue of 300 billion VND. The vegetable and fruit canning workshop also has a capacity of 10 million products per year, with projected revenue of 300 billion VND.

The project is expected to commence construction in Q2/2026 and officially become operational from Q2/2027.

Previously, according to the Resolution and Minutes of the 1st Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Ha Long Canned Food Joint Stock Company in 2025, one of the main items on the agenda was the relocation of the food processing plant at 71 Le Lai Street, Ngo Quyen Ward, Hai Phong City.

The reason stems from the Ngo Quyen District Zoning Plan until 2040 (approved in April 2025), which designates the land the company is currently using as public green space and recreational area.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan stated that relocating the factory is urgent because its current location is within an urban planning zone. Therefore, failure to relocate promptly will cause significant losses to the company's production operations.
