In the book "80 Years - A Confident Vietnam ," more than 200 photographs not only capture typical activities during the series of events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the nation's founding, but also vividly portray the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers through everyday moments of the bond between the military and the people, as well as rescue and relief missions and international peacekeeping operations.
To complete the photo series, Nguyen A worked tirelessly for nearly five years, traveling across the country from South to North, from the mainland to the islands, and also participating in work trips to South Sudan and Myanmar. In Hanoi alone, he spent a month documenting all the activities of the A80th Anniversary celebration, from the "Homeland in My Heart" art program to the parade and march of the armed forces and people nationwide. " 80 Years - A Confident Vietnam is not a thick book, but I have dedicated a great deal of heart and soul to each image," Nguyen A stated.

Notably, the image chosen for the book cover is not of young faces or marching troops, but a portrait of an elderly man nearly 90 years old. According to Nguyen A, this image symbolizes a generation that has been with the country for the past 80 years, witnessing the ups and downs and changes of the times. "Many people may be surprised by this choice, but I want to use it to express my belief in the resilience of a country that has gone through 80 years of turbulent history," he expressed.

With over 30 years dedicated to photography, Nguyen A has made his mark with 25 exhibitions and 24 photo books. Notably, this year he has released four new publications consecutively, demonstrating his tireless artistic dedication and unceasing creativity.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen A shared that these achievements were not only due to his personal efforts but also to the companionship and contributions of many people he has been fortunate enough to meet throughout his career.
"Therefore, this book launch is also an opportunity to express gratitude to the people who gave me the chance to set foot in the most remote, isolated, and harsh places during my creative journey," he shared.

As one of the figures featured in "80 Years - A Confident Vietnam ," Lieutenant Colonel and pilot Dang Dinh Kien recalled the dedication and seriousness of photographer Nguyen A when capturing images of the air force training for the parade during the A80 Grand Ceremony.
"We had barely exchanged greetings when Nguyen A immediately got to work, busily capturing the most beautiful, authentic, and natural moments of the soldiers," he recounted.
During the process of writing this book, Nguyen A also worked closely with the medical staff of Military Hospital 175 , following them from the mainland and islands to international missions. Major General, Doctor Nguyen Hong Son (former Director of Military Hospital 175) commented: "To me, Nguyen A is no different from a soldier, always brave, responsible, full of enthusiasm, and constantly seeking new things."

Given Nguyen A's unwavering support in many important national activities, Dr. Ly Thi Mai expressed her appreciation and high regard for his contributions. According to her, historical moments will pass, but his photographs will help preserve those memories in everyone's minds. "Hopefully, Nguyen A will continue to contribute more valuable photographic works in the future, to preserve the important milestones of Vietnam and its people," she shared.
Also on this occasion, photographer Nguyen A was awarded a certificate by the Vietnam Record Organization for establishing a record with the content: "A person who has been dedicated to the art of photography for 30 years with 24 published works, winning many important awards domestically and internationally, devoting much effort to capturing authentic and moving images of veterans, armed forces and the general public" for 3 works: "50 Years of Vietnam's Strength ", "70 Years of the Dien Bien Phu Victory - The Heroic Epic Resounds Forever" , and "80 Years - A Confident Vietnam" .
