On the afternoon of December 14th, Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh , Member of the Political Bureau and Standing Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, visited and worked at the VinFast automobile manufacturing plant complex and Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port (HHIT).

Accompanying him were Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Minister of National Defense , and leaders of central ministries, departments, and agencies.

Receiving and working with the delegation were: Mr. Le Tien Chau, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong City; Mr. Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City; Mr. Le Anh Quan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City; and leaders of city departments and agencies.

Reporting at the meeting, representatives from VinFast Manufacturing and Trading Joint Stock Company stated that, as of the end of November 2025, the company had sold 147,450 electric vehicles, marking the first time the brand has surpassed the 100,000 electric vehicle sales mark in the first three quarters of the year. In November alone, VinFast delivered over 23,000 vehicles. VinFast aims to develop 400 service centers by the end of 2025.

Globally, in the first nine months of 2025, VinFast delivered a total of 234,536 electric motorcycles and electric bicycles, a 489% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The number of electric cars delivered globally in the first nine months of 2025 reached 110,362 units, a 149% increase compared to the same period.

In the Indonesian and Indian markets, where VinFast is developing new factories, there are also many positive signs, such as ranking among the top 5 electric car brands in Indonesia from January to September 2025; receiving the "Design of the Year" award at the Detikcom Awards 2025 for the VinFast VF7 model in Indonesia…

Acknowledging and appreciating VinFast's efforts and achievements in establishing its position in the domestic and international automotive markets, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that the Party and State remain steadfast in their commitment to supporting and creating the most favorable environment for the business community, especially private economic groups, to develop strongly and sustainably. Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of the private economy is an important political basis, affirming the role of this sector as a crucial growth engine for the national economy.

The Deputy Prime Minister congratulated Vingroup, with VinFast as its core, on becoming one of Vietnam's pioneering forces in applying Industry 4.0 technology, automating production lines, and developing high-tech industrial products. This has made a practical contribution to implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

VinFast has the potential to increase its localization rate to over 80% by 2026, moving closer to its goal of establishing a complete electric vehicle manufacturing value chain in Vietnam. This demonstrates Vietnam's strong potential for growth in the new era of technology and innovation.

During a meeting with the delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister, representatives from Hateco Group informed that the Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port (HHIT), scheduled for inauguration in April 2025, covers a total area of ​​73 hectares, with a 900-meter-long berth and a depth ranging from -16.8 meters to -18.4 meters. The port is capable of simultaneously receiving two large container ships up to 200,000 DWT (≥ 18,000 TEU), with a maximum vessel length of 400 meters.

The port's establishment marks a significant turning point in the maritime sector, contributing to the promotion of international trade and creating momentum for economic development in the North as well as the entire country. HHIT is the first smart port in Vietnam with automated entry and exit gates and semi-automated berths, capable of accommodating the world's largest ships and providing direct access from the furthest locations such as the West and East coasts of the United States. Since officially commencing operations, the port's operational efficiency has grown impressively, reaching 30 containers per hour.

Expressing his admiration for the scale of investment and operational efficiency after nearly a year of operation, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh assessed that HHIT handling up to 20% of the cargo throughput in the Lach Huyen seaport area is clear evidence of the outstanding growth potential of Hai Phong's seaport sector.

With its financial resources, experience in developing logistics infrastructure, and commitment to applying modern technology, Hateco is fully capable of expanding its scale, increasing capacity, and gradually mastering automated operating systems – a core trend in the global port industry.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that a transparent and open investment environment, along with the persistent efforts to reform administrative procedures that Hai Phong city is undertaking, are important foundations for the continued development of the port business community.

The government has consistently maintained the stance of supporting, resolving difficulties, and encouraging businesses and economic groups to boldly expand investment through appropriate support mechanisms and policies.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed confidence that with the right direction and a well-structured development strategy, businesses like Hateco will continue to affirm the position of Vietnamese brands on the regional and international logistics map.
