
According to information from the Traffic Police Department of Phu Tho province, at approximately 2:30 PM on December 14th, a serious landslide occurred at Km124+300, Thung Khe Pass (National Highway 6), in Mai Chau commune, Phu Tho province, completely burying the road surface and causing traffic congestion.
Initial reports indicate that a landslide buried a motorbike.
Immediately after the incident occurred, the authorities arrived at the scene, coordinated traffic management, ensured traffic safety, and promptly addressed the consequences.
National Highway 6 is a vital transportation route connecting Hanoi with the Northwestern provinces. The section passing through Phu Tho has complex terrain and a high risk of landslides, posing many potential dangers to people and vehicles, especially during the rainy season and adverse weather conditions.
