The Xpeng AeroHT comes in two versions. One, called the Land Aircraft Carrier, consists of two main modules – an air-based module and a ground-based module. The air-based module resembles a small personal helicopter and can be folded up and placed inside the road-based module, which resembles a six-wheeled van.
The remaining version is called Xpeng AeroHT eVTOL with a sporty body, the propellers are attached above and can be folded and hidden in the body.
According to an Xpeng Motors executive, the flying car is designed for the consumer market, allowing people to experience the feeling of flying, rather than targeting business customers and public transportation.
In addition, the company is also looking for joint venture partners to jointly develop important components such as batteries and flight control systems, which are not easy to find finished products on the market today.
