The snake mascot for the Lunar New Year 2025 in Hue City ( Thua Thien Hue ) was inspired by the image of Nhiem Xa carved on Anh Dinh, the third bronze Dinh in the Hue Nine Dinhs. After being revealed, many local people and tourists came to visit and take photos.
After many days of assembly and decoration, the model of the two snake mascots of Hue was completed and attracted many people and tourists to visit.
The pair of mascots are placed at the Memorial of Fallen Soldiers, in front of Hue National High School for the Gifted (many people often call it the National School stele).
The mascot's colors are based on the traditional five colors of Hue, each with its own meaning. Red represents enthusiasm; yellow represents prosperity; blue represents hope; white represents purity and purple represents nostalgia.
The mascot's grace is expressed through its soft curves and stance.
Immediately after its launch , the snake pair was visited and checked in by many people.
After being completed for sightseeing, many locals and tourists expressed their interest and gave many compliments to the model of the pair of Hue snake mascots. Ms. Linh (Kim Long, Hue) said: "The Hue snake mascot is beautifully designed and represents the typical spirit of Hue City. Hue is a centrally-governed city in its first year, full of spirit. With its elegant and gentle appearance, the snake mascot will contribute to creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere for Hue City."
Many people are interested and think that this pair of snakes has a long shape and color similar to the student snake. According to the unit that created this pair of mascots, this pair of snakes was inspired by the image of snakes on the Nine Urns (Hue Imperial Citadel) and was stylized to create a gentle, cheerful appearance.
The size of the pair of snake mascots in Hue is about 30m long, made of steel frame to ensure stability and firmness.
The surrounding area is decorated with many fresh flowers and motifs welcoming the New Year of the Snake 2025.
Cute and adorable snake models are also erected in parks along the Huong River along Le Loi Street.
This decoration has attracted many locals and tourists to take souvenir photos during the days before Tet.
