Gasoline prices increased sharply this afternoon, June 19

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) informed: starting from 3:00 p.m. on June 19, domestic retail gasoline prices will increase from VND1,169/liter to VND1,456/liter (or VND/kg).

This adjustment is made on the basis of fluctuations in world petroleum product prices and according to market mechanisms under State management.

According to urgent document No. 4443/BCT-TTTN that the Ministry of Industry and Trade sent to key traders and distributors on the afternoon of June 19, the maximum prices of the items applied are as follows:

• E5 RON92 gasoline: no higher than VND 20,631/liter, up VND 1,169/liter;
• RON95-III gasoline: no higher than VND 21,244/liter, up VND 1,277/liter;
• Diesel 0.05S: not higher than VND 19,156/liter, up VND 1,456/liter;
• Kerosene: not higher than VND 18,923/liter, up VND 1,412/liter;
• Madut oil 180CST 3.5S: not higher than 17,643 VND/kg, up 1,182 VND/kg.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade requires wholesale traders and distributors not to implement this price earlier than 3:00 p.m. on June 19. This base price will be applied until further announcement by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to monitor the supply of gasoline and oil and strictly handle violations if detected.
