After 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 12th District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, the socio -economic development goals set out in the Congress Resolution have all been completed, many targets have been achieved and exceeded the plan. Specifically:
The average added value reached 8.23%/year; total social development investment capital reached 15,579 billion VND, budget revenue from the local economy reached 559.9 billion VND (Resolution 420 billion VND), creating jobs for 2,912 workers/year (Resolution 2,500 - 2,700 workers/year).
The rate of trained workers is 75.5% (Resolution 65%), average income per capita reaches 81 million VND/person/year (Resolution 80 - 90 million VND), reducing the poverty rate to 0.6% (Resolution below 1.5%).
Every year, over 85% of grassroots party organizations complete their tasks well (Resolution 85%), over 98% of party members complete their tasks (Resolution 98%); develop 480 new party members (Resolution 400 party members); build and launch a district that meets advanced new rural standards in 2024 (1 year ahead of the Resolution).
The implementation of breakthroughs has achieved many outstanding results: Transforming the structure of crops and livestock in an adaptive and effective direction; Gia Thuan 1 Industrial Cluster is 54.53% filled, attracting a large number of workers inside and outside the district to work, creating jobs for about 5,300 workers in development support services; the Truong Dinh National Heroic Relic Complex has been expanded and become the festival center in the East of the province, sea tourism is increasingly attracting many visitors; building and completing the criteria for the district to meet advanced new rural standards by the end of 2024.

The economic structure has shifted in a positive direction, the proportion of industry, construction, trade and services has increased, the proportion of agriculture has decreased.
The infrastructure has been gradually invested in and completed, creating favorable conditions for local development and trade; the transportation system has been invested in and upgraded to ensure convenient traffic; planning work has been seriously implemented and followed the correct procedures.
Industry and handicrafts continue to develop and attract many investors; trade and services develop strongly, many industries have good growth rates; agricultural production develops according to the commodity production value chain, building many production models; contributing to promoting economic development.
The cultural and social fields have many positive changes, the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved. Politics and society are stable, national defense and security are strengthened, social order and safety are maintained; the effectiveness and efficiency of government operations and administrative reforms have achieved important results, and people's trust is increasingly enhanced.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Ngo Huynh Quang Thai, Secretary of Go Cong Dong District Party Committee acknowledged and commended all levels, sectors and the entire political system in the district for uniting, overcoming difficulties, innovating, creating, promoting patriotic emulation movements, and successfully implementing the goals set out in the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the District Party Secretary requested the locality to do well in political, ideological, information and propaganda work to create a unified awareness and high consensus among cadres, party members and people on the policy of rearranging administrative units and streamlining the organizational apparatus. Pay attention to arranging and organizing headquarters, facilities and working conditions of agencies in the new commune-level political system to ensure smooth, effective and efficient operations.
At the same time, prepare well the conditions to successfully organize the new Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term according to the Party Charter, Central guidelines and provincial plans.
On this occasion, Go Cong Dong District Party Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 collectives and 10 individuals with excellent achievements in implementing the Resolution of the 12th District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.
