Give drops of red blood of love

With its humanitarian meaning, the voluntary blood donation movement is spreading more and more widely in the community. Working in the medical industry, many medical staff and employees understand more about the meaning and importance of blood to the lives of patients. Therefore, they are willing to give their precious drops of blood.

Doctor Bui Van Chuong, Department of Emergency Resuscitation - Artificial Kidney, Tien Hai General Hospital participated in voluntary blood donation.

Participating in blood donation since he was a student at Phu Tho Medical College, Dr. Vu Hai Linh, an officer of the Emergency Transport Department and Family Doctor, Thai Binh 115 Emergency Center, has participated in voluntary blood donation 15 times. Dr. Vu Hai Linh shared: Studying medicine, understanding the importance of donating blood to save lives, so when the school launched the campaign, I immediately registered to participate. After graduating, I worked at the Provincial Red Cross Society. Here, I participated in many voluntary blood donation campaigns organized by the Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee in coordination with localities and units. Going directly to blood donation points and meeting many typical examples of voluntary blood donation, I see more clearly the meaning of donated blood drops. Therefore, every year, I participate in donating blood, about 250 ml each time.

During his time working at the Provincial Red Cross Society, along with donating blood, Dr. Vu Hai Linh was also a member of the Vu Thu District Live Blood Bank; regularly mobilizing relatives, friends, and colleagues to participate in voluntary blood donation. He did not remember the exact number of people he mobilized, but according to Dr. Linh, many people donated blood after being informed. Currently, Dr. Vu Hai Linh is working at the Department of Emergency Transport and Family Medicine, Thai Binh 115 Emergency Center, directly providing technical support and blood transfusions to emergency patients in urgent need of blood. With each successful blood transfusion, saving the patient's life in time, Dr. Vu Hai Linh has more motivation to continue his journey of sharing his blood to patients in need of blood transfusions.

Just like Dr. Vu Hai Linh, when entering Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, student Bui Van Chuong registered to participate in voluntary blood donation. Actively participating in the voluntary blood donation movement, in 2017 - 2018, Bui Van Chuong became the Head of the school's voluntary blood donation student club. Each year, club members donate about 1,000 - 1,200 units of blood, contributing to saving the lives of many patients. That year's student is now a doctor working at the Department of Emergency Resuscitation - Artificial Kidney, Tien Hai General Hospital. Looking back on his journey of participating in voluntary blood donation activities at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Dr. Bui Van Chuong is very excited. Dr. Bui Van Chuong shared: Studying medicine, I realized that donating blood is not harmful to health, while blood is a priceless item that cannot be produced, and many patients really need it for treatment. Therefore, in addition to donating blood directly, I have actively encouraged and promoted students to participate in blood donation and achieved many positive results. After graduating, working at the Department of Emergency Resuscitation - Artificial Kidney, regularly interacting with patients needing dialysis, I have seen more clearly the value of blood for life. Therefore, I still maintain donating blood to this day. I have donated blood 12 times. There are years when I am in good health, I donate blood 3 times. I also encourage my wife to actively participate in donating blood to save people. As Secretary of the Youth Union of Tien Hai General Hospital, I will continue to promote and mobilize everyone to participate in voluntary blood donation.

With their contributions to the voluntary blood donation movement, Dr. Vu Hai Linh and Dr. Bui Van Chuong received certificates of merit from the Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee. The noble act of voluntary blood donation by medical staff will contribute to promoting and spreading the voluntary blood donation movement in the province, thereby multiplying the "life buoys" for many patients in need of blood on their journey to sustain life.

Doctor Vu Hai Linh, staff of the Emergency Transport Department and Family Doctor, Thai Binh 115 Emergency Center participated in voluntary blood donation.
