On September 19, the Minister of Education and Training sent a telegram to the Directors of the Departments of Education and Training of the following provinces and cities: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh , Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa on proactively responding to the tropical depression that is likely to strengthen into a storm.

The dispatch clearly stated that, in order to be proactive and flexible in responding to the storm, ensuring absolute safety for students, teachers and staff in theeducation sector, the Minister of Education and Training requested the Directors of the Departments of Education and Training of the above 17 provinces and cities to urgently monitor the storm's developments closely, be on duty 24/7, regularly update information from functional agencies, rescue forces and local authorities to have timely response plans.

Develop a plan to move assets, machinery, equipment, and furniture to a safe location, ensuring that they are not damaged or broken. Ensure that schools and educational institutions do not organize extracurricular activities in coastal areas and areas at risk of being affected by storms.

The Ministry also recommends that localities consider allowing students to take time off from school when necessary, especially in areas vulnerable to storms and floods. Ensure that information about school schedules and student safety is fully communicated to parents.

Immediately after the storm, organize cleaning of schools, repair damage to facilities, ensure safety and hygiene before welcoming students back to school.

At the same time, continuously update information, summarize damages and develop a plan to report to the Provincial People's Committee for remediation, and report to the Ministry of Education and Training through the Department of Facilities to summarize and report to the Government .
