Can Tho: Unanimous telecommunications infrastructure rental prices affect many projects

DNVN - On August 26, 2025, the working delegation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, led by Mr. Ho Hong Hai, Deputy Director of the Legal Department, worked with the People's Committee of Can Tho City on the implementation of a two-level government model. A representative of Can Tho City said that the unanimity of telecommunications infrastructure rental prices has affected the progress of cable renovation and undergrounding projects in the city.

Mr. Ho Hong Hai said that the Ministry of Science and Technology has strongly implemented Conclusions 177 and 178 of the Politburo and Decrees 132/2025/ND-CP and 133/2025/ND-CP. The Ministry has reviewed and decentralized 117/223 tasks, issued 7 documents, announced 220 administrative procedures, organized many conferences and established online support groups.

The Ministry also compiled 28 difficulties in administrative procedures and online public services, of which 18 have been resolved. At the same time, the Ministry coordinated the development of the National Digital Architecture Framework version 1.0.

The delegation worked directly at the Can Tho City Public Administration Service Center and the Ninh Kieu Ward People's Committee, exchanging with officials about the document processing process, application of information technology and artificial intelligence in supporting citizens and businesses.

A report from the Can Tho Department of Science and Technology said the city has deployed synchronous information systems, issued more than 38,000 email accounts and processed more than 845,000 documents in 2 months. The city also standardized 125 administrative procedures and integrated AI into the procedure processing system.

Despite many advances, Can Tho still faces difficulties in human resources, lack of expertise in measurement testing, and telecommunications infrastructure. The city has requested the Ministry of Science and Technology to support training and resolve overlapping procedures, and unify the rental price of telecommunications infrastructure. The Ministry of Science and Technology has committed to continue to accompany the city in resolving these problems.
