Noi Bai International Airport serves 2,100 flights during National Day holiday

During the peak holiday season of September 2 this year, Noi Bai International Airport welcomed about 338 thousand arrivals and departures.

During the National Day holiday on September 2, the number of passengers traveling by air through Noi Bai International Airport is expected to increase by 11% compared to normal days. During the 4-day holiday, there will be about 338,000 passengers and more than 2,100 flights through Noi Bai International Airport. Of which, the highest day will serve more than 96,000 passengers (September 3 with nearly 35,000 international passengers, more than 61,000 domestic passengers), and 569 flights (238 international flights, 331 domestic flights).

As an important project related to national security, Noi Bai International Airport has close inter-sectoral coordination with functional forces such as the Guard Command, Mobile Police Command, Hanoi City Police, Soc Son District Police, Noi Bai International Airport Police Station to regularly patrol, guard, protect targets, ensure absolute security and safety for all flights arriving and departing through the Port as well as all regular activities at Noi Bai International Airport.

Security was raised to level 1 at Noi Bai International Airport during the National Day holiday on September 2.

Implementing the direction of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, from August 31 to September 3, 2024, Noi Bai International Airport will apply level 1 enhanced aviation security control measures, proactively preparing plans to serve the peak of the National Day holiday.

The port has deployed to units a coordination plan to improve operational capacity, arrange staff directly in sensitive areas to avoid congestion and local overload during peak hours in the passenger terminal areas (traffic hall in front of the passenger terminal, toll lanes at the car park, aviation check-in area, etc.) . Closely coordinate with airlines and ground service units to ensure the quality of international baggage delivery services, flexibly limit relatives from seeing off passengers during peak hours at Passenger Terminal T2. Strictly maintain the on-duty regime at the Operation Coordination Center, the emergency on-duty regime to ensure the correct composition and subjects, to promptly direct and handle situations and incidents arising in operational activities. Coordinate with the Northern Air Traffic Management Company, Aviation Meteorology Center, and Information Center in aircraft operations, guidance, and extreme weather warnings to deploy response plans.

Noi Bai International Airport continues to implement the model of coordinated decision-making at airports and airfields (A-CDM), ensuring safety and efficiency. Closely coordinate with airlines to fully and promptly grasp flight plans to develop plans for exploiting aircraft parking positions, assigning check-in counters, arranging aircraft exit gates, allocating baggage conveyor belts, etc. Closely inspect and monitor, ensuring that 100% of passengers, luggage, goods, mail, and items are checked and screened for security before being brought into restricted areas, isolated areas, and boarding the aircraft. Strictly implement procedures and regulations on controlling passenger identification documents used to board the aircraft, increase random interviews with passengers at identification document check points. Maximize security screening during peak hours to ensure the fastest traffic flow. The Security Force coordinates with the Noi Bai International Airport Police Station, Traffic Police Team No. 15, and Traffic Inspectorate to increase patrols and control to maintain security and order, and traffic safety at the Port and neighboring areas. Actively coordinate with the T2 Passenger Terminal Expansion Project Management Board and units to review and develop plans and exploitation options to ensure coordination, efficiency, and closely follow the construction progress of each phase of the project.

Regarding service quality assurance, Noi Bai International Airport said: The airport has planned to arrange enough staff to be on duty at the Information Desk, the automatic customer care switchboard, the service quality assurance hotline, etc., ensuring 24/7 availability to promptly guide and support passengers. Thoroughly educate officers and employees, especially those directly serving passengers, to properly behave and behave in a civilized and polite manner.

In addition, the Port has requested franchisees to make commitments and develop plans to ensure passenger service during the holidays, and to ensure service time, quality of goods, and means of transporting passengers during early morning and late night hours.
