In the past 6 hours (from 2:00 to 8:00 on July 16), the areas of Dien Bien, Lai Chau , Tuyen Quang and Thai Nguyen provinces have had moderate rain, heavy rain such as: Muong Muon 77.2mm (Dien Bien); Nam Manh 72.2mm (Lai Chau); Tien Nguyen 2 76.8mm (Tuyen Quang); Van Lang 81mm ( Thai Nguyen );...
Soil moisture models show that some areas in the above provinces are close to saturation (more than 85%) or have reached saturation.
Rain warning in the next period, in the next 3-6 hours, the above provinces will continue to have rain with accumulated rainfall from 20-50mm, in some places over 70mm.
In the next 6 hours, there is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in many communes/wards in the following provinces:
Lai Chau: Nam Hang; Bum To.
Dien Bien: Bung Lao, Chieng Sinh, Muong Cha, Muong Mun, Na Sang, Na Tau, Nam Nen, Pa Ham, Si Pa Phin; Cha To, Muong Pon, Muong Tung, Muong Lay ward, Sinh Phinh.
Tuyen Quang: Khuon Lung, Quang Binh, Quang Nguyen, Tien Nguyen; Cao Bo, Ho Thau, Nam Dan, Nam Dich, Ha Giang ward, Tan Tien, Tan Trinh, Thuong Son, Trung Thinh, Xin Man, Xuan Giang.
Thai Nguyen: Cho Moi, Phu Luong, Quang Son, Than Sa, Van Lang, Vo Tranh; Bach Thong, Kha Son, Bac Kan ward, Duc Xuan ward, Phong Quang, Tan Ky, Thanh Mai, Thanh Thinh.
Flash floods and landslides can have very negative impacts on the environment, threaten people's lives; cause local traffic congestion, affect the movement of vehicles, destroy civil and economic works, causing damage to production and socio-economic activities.
