Warning of flash floods, landslides, and land subsidence in the province

According to the 7:30 p.m. bulletin of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on September 18, Khanh Hoa province had moderate to heavy rain, to very heavy rain, such as at: Da Ban Lake: 100.4 mm; Da Den Lake: 105.6 mm; Sa Vin: 107.6 mm; Da Nhim Hydropower Plant: 127.4 mm. The soil moisture model shows that some areas in Khanh Hoa province are nearly saturated, reaching over 80%.

Rain warning in the next 6 hours, total rainfall in the western region is generally from 20-50mm/6 hours, in some places over 50mm; risk of flash floods on rivers and small streams in mountainous areas; landslides on slopes, land subsidence in communes of Khanh Hoa province. Specifically, areas at risk of flash floods, landslides in 6 hours on spillways, small rivers and streams in the following communes and wards: Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa, Hoa Tri, Tay Ninh Hoa, Khanh Vinh, Bac Khanh Vinh, Trung Khanh Vinh, Tay Khanh Vinh, Nam Khanh Vinh, Khanh Son, Tay Khanh Son, Dong Khanh Son, Bac Ai, Bac Ai Tay, Ninh Son, Bac Ai Dong, Lam Son, Anh Dung and some routes from Ninh Son to Khanh Son, Ngoan Muc pass, Sa Kai waterfall, Anh Dung.

Professional agencies warn that flash floods and landslides have a negative impact on the environment, threaten people's lives; cause local traffic congestion; destroy civil and economic works, causing damage to production, economic and social activities.
