At around 11:30 a.m. on July 23, a fire broke out at a kiosk selling soft drinks located in the Thu Duc market area, at the front of the corner of Le Van Ninh-Kha Van Can street, Thu Duc ward, Ho Chi Minh city.

At the time of the fire, the kiosk above was not operating and there was no one inside. When the fire was discovered, the traders and security guards used mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire but could not control it, which was at risk of spreading to the kiosks inside the market.

Fire trucks were quickly dispatched to the scene.

Many traders called for the goods to be moved to prevent the fire from spreading. The area in front of the market gate was covered in black smoke. The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police, mobilized vehicles and officers to the scene to put out the fire, and the fire was promptly extinguished.

Thu Duc Ward Police blocked off the scene to investigate the cause of the fire and stabilize the mood of the traders in the market.
