Police use robots to extinguish large fire in industrial park

On September 13, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hai Phong City Police said that the unit had just extinguished a large fire at Do Son Industrial Park (Hai Phong City) early this morning.

Accordingly, at 1:13 a.m. the same day (September 13), Center 114 of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department received a report of a fire at the finished product warehouse of Cheng - V Company Limited, Do Son Industrial Park.

The fire broke out at midnight at Cheng-V Company.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department mobilized forces with 10 specialized vehicles and 1 fire-fighting robot to the scene, coordinated with on-site forces to extinguish the fire, rescue property and block off the fire from spreading to the surrounding area.

According to initial information, at the time of the fire, the company was working the night shift. Thanks to early detection of the fire, all workers escaped safely.

However, due to the nature of the business, which has many flammable materials, the fire developed very quickly, flared up violently, creating a column of smoke hundreds of meters high, accompanied by many explosions.

By the early morning of September 13, the fire was basically under control. Notably, despite the large scale of the fire, the wide area and the nighttime incident, the robots and modern specialized equipment brought in by the fire fighting force operated smoothly and effectively.

Currently, the fire fighting force continues to spray water to cool down and prevent the fire from re-igniting, while at the same time conducting an investigation at the scene, determining the damage and cause of the fire.
