List of Vietnam futsal team to meet Hong Kong
The 2026 Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers will take place from September 20 to September 24. The Vietnamese futsal team is in Group E with opponents from China, Hong Kong (China) and Lebanon. The matches will take place at Linping Sport Center Gymnasium (Hangzhou, China).
In terms of FIFA rankings, the Vietnamese futsal team is at the top of this group, currently ranked 26th in the world . This is the highest ranking in the team's history. In this group, Lebanon is ranked 54th, China is ranked 85th, and Hong Kong (China) is ranked 123rd.
That shows that the ranking of the Vietnamese futsal team is far behind the remaining opponents. That means, our chance of winning a ticket to the next round is very high.
According to AFC regulations, the top 8 teams and the 7 teams with the best results (out of 8 groups) will qualify for the final round of the Asian futsal tournament taking place in Indonesia early next year.
The schedule of Group E also favors the Vietnamese futsal team. Coach Diego Giustozzi's team will play their first match against the weakest team in the group, Hong Kong, this afternoon (September 20).
Then, on September 22, we will meet the Chinese team. Finally, on September 24, the Vietnamese futsal team will face the Lebanese team. That is, we will play from the easiest match to the more difficult match.
