Cao Bang: Floods rise suddenly, thousands of people have to evacuate urgently

On the afternoon of October 7, due to the influence of storm No. 11, heavy rains lasting from the night of October 5 until noon today caused the water level on major rivers in Cao Bang province such as Bang River and Hien River to rise suddenly. Many streets and residential areas in the old city area were flooded again, making people's lives even more disrupted.

In central wards such as the old Hop Giang, where the aftermath of storm No. 10 is still in disarray, people have not yet stabilized but now face the risk of new flooding. Piles of rubbish have not been cleared yet, houses that have just been dried are now submerged in floodwaters. People are forced to evacuate their belongings, the elderly and children in a state of confusion and anxiety.

The traffic situation is also alarming. Many major roads have been eroded, sunk, and flooded, causing some localities such as Bao Lac and Bao Lam to be almost completely isolated. The commune's central market and streets here have been submerged in water, paralyzing traffic.

Faced with complicated developments, the provincial government has mobilized all police, military and local units to support people in responding and moving people and property to safety.
