According to information from the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment, since the afternoon of November 26, several hospitals in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province have received many patients suspected of food poisoning.
According to a quick report from the Department of Health of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, as of 2:00 p.m. on November 28, 2024, nearly 300 patients related to the suspected food poisoning incident had come for examination and treatment at medical facilities in the province (Vung Tau Hospital and Vietsovpetro Medical Center).
Regarding this matter, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment, Ministry of Health , applauds the Department of Health of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and the hospitals for decisively handling the incident, proactively organizing emergency care and timely treatment for many patients. Among them, there are patients who have been granted treatment, ensuring the best health and life for the people.
The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requested the Director of the Department of Health of Ba Ria - Vung Tau to continue to focus on and mobilize good doctors, ensure adequate medicine and emergency equipment, and promptly handle and treat patients.
The Department of Health of Ba Ria - Vung Tau closely monitors seriously ill patients and patients at risk of worsening, is ready to consult with other hospitals when necessary, and at the same time cares for the health and encourages patients and their families.
In addition, units continue to fully and seriously implement the related work contents in Official Dispatch No. 44/CD-TTg dated May 3, 2024 of the Prime Minister on preventing and handling food poisoning.
