Environmental license granted for a farm with a capacity of 24,000 pigs

(GLO)- Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Duong Mah Tiep has just signed and issued environmental license No. 431/GPMT-UBND for the pig farming project of Nguyen Bao Livestock Company Limited in Ia Pior commune (Chu Prong district). The license is valid for 7 years from the date of issuance.

The pig farm project of Nguyen Bao Livestock Company Limited has a scale of 200,000 m2 with a capacity of 24,000 pigs, 2 litters per year, equivalent to the number of pigs sold is 48,000 pigs/year. This is a group I investment project according to the provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection; with the same criteria as a group B project (according to the classification criteria prescribed by the Law on Public Investment).

According to the license, the project is allowed to discharge wastewater (including domestic wastewater of staff and workers at the farm, with wastewater collection pipes, wastewater from livestock activities of the farm; the source of wastewater is to irrigate the roots of plants inside and outside the project, reuse for livestock farming...), and exhaust gas into the environment; ensure the limit values for noise and vibration; requirements on waste management, prevention and response to environmental incidents in accordance with the provisions of law.

Nguyen Bao Livestock Company Limited is only allowed to carry out the licensed contents after completing the corresponding environmental protection works; is responsible before the law when pollutants, noise, and vibration do not meet the permitted requirements.

The company must promptly report to the environmental licensing authority and local authorities if there are any incidents at waste treatment facilities or other incidents that lead to environmental pollution. It is strictly forbidden to discharge treated wastewater into stormwater reservoirs in any form.
