According to the 2024-2025 school year schedule for preschooleducation , general education and continuing education, most localities across the country will give students a one-day New Year holiday.
Regarding the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday schedule, compared to previous years, the holiday schedule in the provinces this year is more diverse, due to the many ways to combine it with the weekend. For example, with the same number of days off as 14, Binh Phuoc and Tra Vinh will let students off from January 20, returning to school on February 2, 2025; the holiday for students in Quang Ninh and Soc Trang will start from January 27 and end on February 9.
Meanwhile, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Lunar New Year holiday for students will last from January 25 to February 2, 2025 (December 26 to January 5), or 9 days.
