Following the success of Ha Long Carnival, this year the festival continues to be held on April 30 - May 1 with many unique and impressive activities and programs, promising to bring to people and tourists from near and far moments of relaxation and unique festival moments in Ha Long, Quang Ninh .

With the theme “Lighting up with Wonders”, Ha Long Carnival 2024 will officially open at 8:10 p.m. on April 28, 2024, at Ocean Park Beach, Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City. The program will be broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television; rebroadcast live on QTV1 channel, Quang Ninh Media Center.

This year's Ha Long Carnival has different highlights, notably the live performance and the first Carnaval on the sea in Vietnam. This is also the first time the Carnaval program has organized performances and parades on the sea, on the sand of Ha Long Bay with musical art elements, harmoniously combining history and culture to highlight the Heritage - World Natural Wonder of Ha Long Bay at night, affirming the exceptional value of Ha Long Bay.

Ha Long Carnival has become the brand of Ha Long - Quang Ninh tourism.

In addition to the participation of many famous domestic singers and artists, the art program also includes the participation of international art troupes: Hokkaido - Japan, Guangxi - China, Laos, Thailand and European artists... The performance stage at this year's Ha Long Carnival is a harmonious combination of the sand and the sea, with hundreds of ships and boats mobilized to participate in the parade throughout the program.

One of the highlights of this year's Carnaval is the use of modern technology in the staging of the program, such as: Drone light (arranged drones), fireworks, mapping, LED, sound, and modern lighting... In particular, the program will use Drone light technology (1,600-2,300 arranged drones) and combine modern 3D mapping technology to depict the typical symbols of Ha Long - Quang Ninh: Heritage tourism symbol, spiritual culture symbol, human symbol... and the brand identity logo of Carnaval Ha Long 2024.

The program will also stage a large-scale performance with the participation of 1,200 actors with performances on sand and on boats to create a Ha Long Carnaval heritage dance (live performance). The program will end with a fireworks display combined with a cruise ship parade and a canoe art performance at sea.

Along with the Carnaval street festival, on this occasion, Ha Long City also held a series of special festival, sports, cultural and tourism events such as: Opening of the walking street, cuisine of Bai Chay ward; sports competitions; Beer and Squid Festival; Lion, lion and dragon festival; Ha Long City Zumba Club Festival; Ha Long City Modern Dance Group Festival; Tran Quoc Nghien Temple Festival; Kite Festival with the theme "Flying high with aspiration kites"...
