Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant exceeds 15% of electricity output plan in the first 6 months of the year

On the afternoon of June 19, Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant held a conference to review production and business activities in the first 6 months of the year and deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of the year.

In the first 6 months of the year, the total electricity output of Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant is estimated at more than 3,813 million kWh, equal to 115% of the basic plan; revenue reached about 7,755 billion VND, exceeding the set target by 13%. Notably, in the context of fluctuating electricity prices, the Plant flexibly implemented the bidding work, contributing to a profit of about 53.5 billion VND compared to the average price in the competitive electricity market. The operation of the two units basically met the dispatch orders from the system, maintaining high availability, over 90%. Technical indicators such as: net capacity, self-consumption electricity rate, availability... all met economic and technical standards. Maintenance and repair work was organized methodically and effectively, contributing to improving system reliability. Regarding the environment, labor safety and fire prevention and fighting, the Plant did not have any serious incidents. 100% of workers and contractors are trained in safety, more than 7 tons of hazardous waste are treated properly. Social security work is focused on with activities to support poor households, policy families and new rural construction in the locality.

In the coming time, Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant will continue to focus on implementing solutions to reduce heat loss, optimize operational efficiency, conduct periodic maintenance and ensure the progress of equipment procurement packages to maintain safe, efficient and sustainable operation; strive to achieve output in the last 6 months of the year of about 2,593 million kWh, bringing the total output for the year to more than 6,406 million kWh, exceeding the annual plan.
