Linh Ung Pagoda is located in Ung Mao hamlet, Huong La commune, formerly Ben Hai town, now Phuong La village, Thai Phuong commune. The pagoda was built during the 9th year of King Le Hy Tong's reign (1688). Through many historical events and the vicissitudes of time, the pagoda suffered serious deterioration. Recognizing the urgent need for its renovation and to meet the religious aspirations and needs of the local people, the pagoda was rebuilt in 2018. The entire cost of the renovation and construction of the pagoda and its supporting facilities was donated by Mr. Le Minh Hieu and Mrs. Vu Thi Suot, Chairman of the Board and General Director of Bitexco Nam Long Joint Stock Company (a native of the area and one of the 500 most successful entrepreneurs nationwide), along with the contributions of local people and villagers. This is a large-scale project, renovated and built on the foundation of an ancient temple, with components including: roads, bridges, a triple-arched gate, a Buddha hall, a nine-heaven pagoda, a Mother Goddess temple, an ancestral hall, a Guanyin statue, a meditation center, Buddha statues, Dharma statues, horizontal plaques, couplets… with a total cost of nearly 100 billion VND. Here, the temple houses altars dedicated to the Three Holy Mothers, Saint Tran, Regent Y Lan, General Bat Nan, scholar Le Quy Don, and the founder of the Phuong La weaving craft…
At the ceremony, delegates performed spiritual rituals and cut the ribbon to inaugurate Linh Ung Pagoda; they also presented certificates of merit to the family of Mr. Le Minh Hieu and Mrs. Vu Thi Suot.

Mr. Le Minh Hieu and Mrs. Vu Thi Suot, Chairman of the Board and General Director of Bitexco Nam Long Joint Stock Company, handed over the completed project to the temple.

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha awarded a certificate of merit to the family of Mr. Le Minh Hieu and Mrs. Vu Thi Suot.
The inauguration of Linh Ung Pagoda fulfills the aspirations and religious needs of the people in the commune, aiming to revive and promote the cultural and historical identity and traditions of the homeland.
