Willis Gibson, who goes by the “nickname” Blue Scuti on streaming platforms, broke through all the “doors” and caused the game to freeze. He then repeatedly exclaimed “Oh my God!” in a video uploaded to YouTube on January 2.

Gibson broke the world record for the total score, according to 404 Media. “This is unbelievable,” said Vince Clemente, executive director of the Classic Tetris World Championship.
“The developers didn’t think anyone could get this far, and now the game has officially been beaten by humans,” Clemente said, adding that only an artificial intelligence computer program had previously beaten Tetris.

Willis uses the popular "scrolling" control technique in 2021, allowing players to manipulate the directional pad or D-pad at least 20 times per second to move blocks, much more than the previously popular "super-touch" method.
Tetris, first released in 1984 and almost immediately becoming a worldwide phenomenon, challenges players to rotate and match 7 different falling shapes into one seamless block.
Created by Alexey Pajitnov at the Moscow Academy of Sciences and developed into a business by game entrepreneur Henk Rogers, Tetris has become the “childhood” of many generations around the world.
It is also the best-selling video game of all time with 520 million copies sold, according to The Tetris Company.
