Provincial Retirement Club improves the quality of its activities

The Provincial Retirement Club has 915 members, including 705 retired members and 210 collaborators. In the past 3 years (2021 - 2023), the Club has regularly researched and supplemented new management methods, creating conditions for departments and members to operate on the basis of overcoming difficulties in facilities, tools, equipment, and playgrounds, by arranging detailed, scientific , and reasonable schedules for each outdoor and indoor practice subject.

Members of the Provincial Retirement Club actively participate in cultural and artistic activities to improve spiritual life.

To improve the quality of cultural and artistic activities, the Club promotes and maintains the regular programs of activities of the grassroots retirement group and subjects such as: table tennis, arts, volleyball, badminton, dancing, bodybuilding, poetry, chess, health care, reading books, newspapers, etc.

In 2023, the Club repaired and expanded the office, covered the 200m2 multi-purpose training ground with high-pressure lights, members can play soft volleyball at night, bought 2 more sports bicycles, 2 sets of table tennis tables, creating favorable conditions for members to have time to practice sports during the day and evening. The spacious facilities are all contributed by the Club members.

Along with health training activities, the Club regularly maintains periodic news meetings, where members listen to the Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department inform them about the Party's policies and guidelines, and the State's policies and laws. The Club also has over 10 types of newspapers and magazines for members to read daily in the Club's reading room.

Promoting the movement "Old age - bright example", club officials and members always practice ethics and lifestyle, setting an example for the younger generation to follow. The club promotes effective programs of activities of departments and grassroots retirement organizations, improving all aspects of activities, especially in the movement "Physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho" through age-appropriate sports and cultural activities.

To maintain and protect the health of members, the Club has organized for members in departments and some grassroots pension groups to have free health check-ups at the ECOGREEN Hanoi Center for Medical Technology Development and Health Care. It has sent 10 officials to the Central to train coaches, opened 3 classes on mental energy - health care - health recovery with 54 students.

The Provincial Retirement Club, chaired by Comrade Quach The Tan, former member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, has innovated its organization over the past 3 years, improved the quality of its activities, ensured solidarity, unified leadership, and focused and effective direction of all activities: Exchange and competition in various disciplines, strengthened solidarity with provincial retirement clubs, attracted members of 27 grassroots retirement groups and 11 disciplines to participate in the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".

With its exciting and quality activities, in 2022, the chess department of the club was awarded the excellent unit flag by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training (now the Department of Sports and Physical Training). In the national six-eight poetry exchange, the literature and arts department won first prize. The literature and arts department regularly publishes a monthly poetry page praising the Party and the country's innovation. The poetry page is typed with beautiful handwriting and good content, and is praised by the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department. Notably, the literature and arts department has had many dance and singing performances broadcast on the station's airwaves by the provincial Radio and Television Station.

On the threshold of spring 2024, I wish the Provincial Retirement Club to increasingly improve the quality of its activities and have many new achievements.
