Notably, Vu Thi Trang - former number 1 of Vietnam, received a special offer from BWF. Despite not competing much recently, the 1992-born tennis player still maintains the number 2 position in Vietnam and has a wealth of experience in the international arena.
In the men's singles event, the Vietnamese team has two official slots for Nguyen Hai Dang and Le Duc Phat, the two highest-ranked players in the country, in the top 100 in the world.
In addition, the men's pair Tran Dinh Manh and Nguyen Dinh Hoang received a special ticket to participate in the tournament, thanks to their championship achievement at the Vietnam International Challenge 2025.
Compared to the last World Championship in 2023, Vietnamese badminton only had two places to participate, this time the number of participating players has tripled.
