Over the past years, hundreds of artists have accompanied the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in large-scale social security programs such as: "City of love - Connecting love", "For the frontline against the epidemic", "Tet for the poor", "The whole country turns to the Central region"... Many artists directly participate in fundraising performances, give gifts, build charity houses, award scholarships to poor students; at the same time, contribute money, effort and prestige to spread the spirit of humanity in society.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City receives donations to support people affected by storms and floods.

Promoting that tradition, during the 10th storm (Bualoi) this year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City received support from a large number of artists. As of October 7, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city received a total of more than 48.4 billion VND from 3,016 donations.

Immediately after that, resources were urgently and transparently allocated: Nghe An and Ha Tinh each received 15 billion VND, Quang Tri 5 billion VND, Dien Bien and Son La 2.5 billion VND, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen each 2 billion VND; in addition, 56 households in the city affected by storms and tornadoes were supported. Along with the money, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with organizations to send necessities, medicine, and materials to repair houses, helping people affected by storms and floods to stabilize their lives soon.

Musician Nguyen Van Chung, when participating in activities to support people affected by storms and floods, shared: “Each trip, each small gift given to people reminds me of the reason I chose the artistic path: to sing, to share and to contribute to doing useful things. When I know that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City receives and transparently monitors all contributions, I feel very secure in supporting. As an artist, I always feel like I am a part of the country's humanitarian flow.”

From the acts of donating and sharing towards fellow countrymen in distress, the image of artists in the public eye has become increasingly closer, more responsible and more compassionate. And for a long time, the charitable activities of many artists in Ho Chi Minh City have become gestures, hearts, and beauty that spread whenever a serious natural disaster occurs in a locality. Together with artists, the community has responded, participated in contributing and supporting through the reception network of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the city.

Thanks to the centralized, transparent and closely monitored reception mechanism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the volunteer activities of artists and the community are organized closely, meaningfully, and demonstrate high transparency. Thereby, it not only increases trust, spreads feelings and responsibility to share in the community but also demonstrates the motto "Ho Chi Minh City for the whole country", developing a humane, modern and affectionate society.
