Delegates attending the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress visited typical works

On the morning of October 12, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee organized a tour of economic, social, defense and security projects and models in the area for the delegation attending the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

This is a meaningful activity before the Congress, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, arousing pride and responsibility in building Ho Chi Minh City to develop comprehensively, worthy of being the economic , financial, cultural and scientific center of the whole country.

Ben Thanh Station is an important traffic connection center of metro lines in Ho Chi Minh City. The station is located right below the intersection of Le Loi - Le Lai - Ham Nghi and opposite Ben Thanh market. This is an important hub of the metro system, connecting metro lines No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) and metro lines No. 2 (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong), No. 3A and No. 4 in the future.

Mr. Tran Luu Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and the delegation visited and experienced the urban railway line No. 1 (metro No. 1), starting from Ben Thanh station. Here, the delegates learned about the progress and completed items of this key project - a project considered a symbol of Ho Chi Minh City's efforts to develop modern and sustainable infrastructure.

At the end of the metro line 1 journey, the delegation went to the Hung Kings Memorial Temple in the National Historical and Cultural Park (Long Binh ward) to offer incense and flowers to commemorate the merits of the Hung Kings and their ancestors who opened up and built the beautiful country. Here, the delegation also offered incense to Lord Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh - the general who opened up and laid the foundation for the formation of the old Saigon - Gia Dinh, now Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Mr. Pham Hong Son, Chief of the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, organizing for delegates to attend the Congress to visit 3 regions: Ba Ria - Vung Tau , Binh Duong and the old Ho Chi Minh City has special significance.

After the ceremony, the delegation divided into many groups to continue the actual tour routes, including: VNG Campus headquarters, Ho Chi Minh City History Museum, Naval Region 2 Command, Gemalink Port, Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Becamex Binh Duong Industrial Park and Binh Duong Convention - Exhibition Center.

The destinations are all typical works and models demonstrating the vitality, dynamism, creativity and development stature of the largest urban - industrial - service area in the country.

Metro Line 1 is nearly 20km long, connecting the center of Ho Chi Minh City with the eastern region, including 14 stations, including 3 modern underground stations at Ben Thanh, City Theater and Ba Son.

According to the plan, the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee will take place from October 13 to 15, 2025 at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials. The preparatory session will be held on the morning of October 13 and the official opening session will take place on the morning of October 14. This congress has about 550 delegates attending, including 110 ex-officio delegates and 440 elected delegates, divided into 12 delegation groups.

This is an important political event, opening a new development phase of Ho Chi Minh City after expanding its administrative boundaries, aiming to build a multi-centered city, developing rapidly, sustainably, civilized and humane.
