After the afternoon training session on May 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club went to the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium to feel the grass and get familiar with the competition space, before the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League semi-final match with host Wuhan Jiangda.

From the outside, the Ho Chi Minh City women's football players saw that the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium was extremely beautiful. The stadium has a modern dome design and can accommodate 54,000 spectators.

But when they stepped inside, coach Doan Thi Kim Chi and her team were even more amazed. "Entering the stadium, I thought I was entering the National Assembly building, so luxurious and majestic," a member of the coaching staff exclaimed.

Foreign players of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club, even though they have played in the US, Portugal or Canada, couldn't help but enjoy themselves and take souvenir photos in the locker room.

Leaving the locker room, coach Doan Thi Kim Chi and her team entered the stadium. The beautiful and modern stadium surprised the players even more. "Wuhan is right to host the semi-finals and finals of the tournament. The stadium is so beautiful!", said a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club.

Stepping onto the velvety green grass, many players thought it was artificial turf. They walked step by step, feeling the grass, even lying down to feel the softness of the field.

Speaking to his students, Coach Kim Chi half-jokingly said: "Playing on such a beautiful field, if on the day of the match, anyone who controls the ball and it bounces up to their knees, then they should be out."

While walking around to feel the pitch and the playing space, the players also took the opportunity to take photos for each other as souvenirs. The coaching staff did the same! Many people clicked their tongues and said they don’t know when Ho Chi Minh City will have a stadium as beautiful as this so that women’s football can develop further.
