Dinh Bac is the youngest player in the Vietnam national team but was given the opportunity by coach Philippe Troussier to test himself during the training camp to prepare for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, notably playing in three friendly matches against China, Uzbekistan and South Korea.
With his excellent performance in the Quang Nam Club shirt in the 2023 season, along with his stepping stone in the Vietnam Olympic team at the 19th Asiad and before that, the Vietnam U23 team in the 2024 U23 Asian qualifiers, Dinh Bac is expected to take on a position in the next generation of players of the national team.

"I always try to practice well to adapt to the training plan set by the coaching staff. I always try to integrate well with my teammates, and develop together towards the common goal of the whole team in the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
I have the advantage of being a young player, I always have a desire to practice or compete in the national team. That honor and desire give me more confidence to do my best every time I am given the opportunity.
My strengths are my speed and ability to dribble in the opposing third. I try to adapt to Coach Troussier's system and help the team defend. Coach Troussier demands a lot from young players.
We ourselves also told ourselves to practice and compete well to not disappoint the coach's expectations, to gain the coaching staff's trust," Dinh Bac shared.
Dinh Bac said that he and the young players always receive enthusiastic help from the seniors on the team: "For young players like me, we always receive a lot of support from the seniors on the team.
They taught us a lot from daily life, to training and competition, so it was very comfortable, without any pressure. Every time I practiced and made a mistake, most of the guys on the field would guide me.
During this training session, I shared a room with Tien Linh, who played as a striker like him. Tien Linh shared many things with me. They advised the young players to try harder to integrate into the national team."

Dinh Bac admitted that he received certain favors from coach Philippe Troussier: "In the past few months, the head coach has created conditions for me to play a lot. I myself have accumulated a lot of experience from matches with China, Uzbekistan and Korea.
It is a valuable opportunity for a 19-year-old player like me to improve, learn and prepare best for the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup."
Facing the opportunity to be on the final list of the Vietnamese team, Dinh Bac confided: "I am ready. This time I am more confident, trying my best to make the coach trust me and create opportunities to play on the field.
We also hope that fans will always believe, support and persevere with the Vietnamese team. The whole team will try our best to bring home victories. We will do it."
