Over the past years, the provincial health sector has implemented many practical activities to protect and improve the health of medical staff. Every year, 100% of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire sector are organized for periodic health check-ups in accordance with regulations. Establishing personal health management records, monitoring health developments and screening for common occupational diseases and non-communicable diseases such as high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, anxiety disorders, depression, etc. are implemented synchronously in all medical units.
Along with physical care, the provincial health sector pays special attention to improving working conditions and environment for medical staff. Most medical facilities have conducted periodic monitoring of the working environment to assess the impact of factors such as dust, noise, light, climate, microorganisms, etc., thereby making appropriate adjustments, ensuring a safer and more friendly working environment for workers.
This is an important step, not only helping to detect early risks that can cause occupational diseases in medical staff, but also contributing to effectively preventing diseases related to the working environment.
At the same time, the provincial health sector focuses on solutions to take care of mental health - a factor that greatly affects the work efficiency and quality of life of medical staff. Through cultural, artistic, sports, health communication, contests, seminars, etc., many units have created a positive living space, helping medical staff relieve pressure, restore energy and strengthen collective cohesion. These activities are both entertaining and an effective way to nurture the spiritual life of workers in a special environment.
As the province’s highest-level medical facility, the Provincial General Hospital receives thousands of people for examination and treatment every day; performs hundreds of surgeries and handles a series of emergency situations. The medical staff here always have to work at high intensity, are in constant contact with risk factors of infection, have great occupational pressure and many psychological challenges.
In order to ensure long-term health for staff, the hospital has seriously implemented proactive health care measures for medical staff. In particular, the organization of periodic health check-ups every 6 months is maintained stably; tests for early detection of occupational diseases and chronic diseases are fully performed. The results are closely monitored through personal health management records.
In addition, the hospital always focuses on improving the working space by planting more trees in departments, rooms, and campuses to create a feeling of closeness to nature. In addition, the hospital regularly organizes sports and cultural activities; talks on mental health, stress coping skills, etc., contributing to building a positive working environment.
The provincial health sector has also identified training and professional development for medical staff as an essential part of proactive health care. Training programs to update specialized knowledge, new techniques in diagnosis and treatment; soft skills and application of information technology in medical examination and treatment, medical record management, etc. are regularly organized.
In addition, in the process of digital transformation, the provincial health sector has increased investment in modern equipment and professional support software, contributing to improving labor productivity, reducing work pressure, shortening manual operation time, and improving the quality of patient service.
Healthcare for medical staff is increasingly receiving attention and cooperation from many organizations such as the Trade Union, Youth Union, Women's Union, etc. Through emulation movements, communication programs and comprehensive healthcare, medical staff are able to improve their physical and mental health, work in a more positive environment and be more proactive in taking care of themselves. Thanks to that, work efficiency is improved, and people's trust in the health sector is increasingly strengthened.
For an effective healthcare system, the human factor always plays a decisive role. Therefore, investing in the health of doctors - those who carry the mission of caring for millions of people - is an investment in the quality of healthcare services and in the long-term development of society.
In the coming time, the provincial health sector will continue to improve the policy system, increase resources for health care programs for medical staff; expand the occupational disease prevention model, improve comprehensive health to non-public units, contract staff, grassroots medical collaborators, etc. Aiming for the long-term goal of building a medical team that is not only good at expertise and dedicated to the profession, but also has good health, optimism and perseverance to overcome all difficulties and challenges.
