Touching on Vietnamese-Singaporean culture

The state visit to Singapore by General Secretary and President To Lam is considered to have created a great impetus for Vietnam-Singapore relations in many fields, including culture.

At the National University of Singapore, the Southeast Asia Friendship Initiative continues to choose Vietnam as a destination for "cultural immersion." The relationship has been continuously upgraded from a Strategic Partnership in 2023 to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2025 and is being further strengthened by Vietnamese and Singaporean leaders, enhancing cooperation in all aspects, leading to an increasing number of Singaporean students wanting to learn more about Vietnam.

Students participating in the course will learn Vietnamese and explore Vietnamese history and culture before embarking on a field trip.

In an increasingly interconnected world, experiences like the Southeast Asia Friendship Initiative help build empathy, respect for differences, and lay a good foundation for future cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore, particularly in the areas of education , innovation, and sustainable development.
