Memories of water hyacinth
(CLO) There have been many poems written about water hyacinth - a common flower on the rivers in the Mekong Delta (in the North called it Western water fern). The water fern stalks are on average half a meter high, people living along the rivers often cut the water fern stalks and dry them to weave into baskets to hold goods as a kind of handicraft, which is popular because it is light and affordable for buyers.
