Mr. Can Van Hao is the youngest Associate Professor of the Mathematics Professorship Council in 2024. He is currently working at the Institute of Mathematics, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.


The Chairman of the State Council of Professors has just signed a decision to recognize the qualifications for the title of Professor and Associate Professor in 2024 for 614 candidates, including 45 Professors and 569 Associate Professors.

The Mathematics Professorship Council has 22 new Professors and Associate Professors, including 4 Professors and 18 Associate Professors. Mr. Can Van Hao is the youngest Associate Professor of the Mathematics Professorship Council in 2024.

New Associate Professor Can Van Hao was born in 1989, hometown in Huong Ngai commune, Thach That district, Hanoi city.

In 2011, Mr. Hao graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics Education, majoring in Mathematics at Hanoi National University of Education.

In 2017, he received a master's degree in Mathematics, majoring in Applied Mathematics in 2014, from Aix-Marseille University, France.

In 2017, he was awarded a PhD in Mathematics, also from Aix-Marseille University.

Currently, Associate Professor Can Van Hao is a researcher at the Institute of Mathematics, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

Theuniversities where the youngest Associate Professor of Mathematics has lectured are the Institute of Mathematics; Academy of Science and Technology; Hanoi Pedagogical University 2; Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Associate Professor Can Van Hao's two main research directions are: Random processes and limit theorems; Some models in statistical physics such as the Ising model and the permeability model.

By June 2024, he had completed 3 scientific research topics from the grassroots level and above; guided 2 master's/CK2/BSNT students to successfully defend their master's/CK2/BSNT theses; published 19 scientific articles in prestigious international journals.

Recently, the Institute of Mathematics has announced the need to appoint the titles of Professor and Associate Professor in 2024. In 2024, the Institute of Mathematics has 3 candidates who meet the standards for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor: Mr. Hoang Le Truong (Professor), Mr. Can Van Hao (Associate Professor), Mr. Pham Viet Hung (Associate Professor).

Among them, Mr. Hoang Le Truong is the youngest Professor, Mr. Can Van Hao is the youngest Associate Professor of the Mathematics Professorship Council in 2024. Besides, Mr. Hoang Le Truong is also the youngest new Professor in Vietnam.
