Questioning the two Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Finance at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly

The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Plan No. 753 on organizing questioning activities at the 31st Session. Accordingly, at this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will question a group of issues in the fields of finance and diplomacy .

According to the schedule, at the 31st session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will spend one working day conducting a question and answer session.

Based on the criteria, order and selection procedures, the National Assembly Standing Committee decides on the group of questions and the people answering the questions, including:

The first group of issues in the financial sector: Management and supervision of insurance business activities and service activities in the life insurance business sector; Appraisal and licensing of companies providing financial services; implementation of laws on lottery, betting, casino and electronic games with prizes; Customs procedures, customs inspection and supervision; prevention and combat of smuggling and illegal transportation of goods across borders; Price management and price determination of goods and services in the list of goods and services priced by the State.

The main responsibility for answering lies with the Minister of Finance. Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai; Ministers of Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Public Security, National Defense; Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam also participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.

The second group of issues in the field of diplomacy: Protection of Vietnamese citizens abroad; violations of the law by Vietnamese citizens abroad and foreigners in Vietnam; protection of the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese fishermen;

The current status of implementing bilateral and multilateral agreements and solutions to promote the implementation of economic, trade and investment cooperation agreements; support for expanding export markets and supporting Vietnamese enterprises to avoid fraud;

Activities to promote and advertise Vietnamese tourism to the world and visa exemption for citizens of other countries entering Vietnam to develop tourism;

Management, arrangement, consolidation, improvement of qualifications and organizational capacity of the diplomatic sector (including Vietnamese representative agencies abroad); solutions to strengthen prevention and combat of corruption and negativity in diplomatic activities.

The main responsibility for answering lies with the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang; Ministers of the Ministries of Public Security, National Defense, Justice, Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Trade, Planning and Investment, Finance, Culture, Sports and Tourism, Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Home Affairs; and the Government Inspector General also participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.

The question and answer session will be held at Dien Hong Room, National Assembly House and broadcast live to 62 National Assembly delegations in provinces and centrally run cities.

The questioning and answering of questions are conducted in groups of issues; the person answering the question does not present a report, but can speak on the question for no more than 05 minutes before the National Assembly representative conducts the questioning; each turn has 03 to 05 representatives asking questions, each representative asking questions for no more than 01 minute; the person being questioned answers for no more than 03 minutes/01 question content. During the questioning process, the National Assembly representative has the right to debate with the person answering the question to clarify issues that have been answered but are not satisfactory; the debate time is no more than 02 minutes.

At the end of the questioning session, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued a resolution as a basis for implementation.

The question and answer session was broadcast live on Voice of Vietnam Radio, televised live on Vietnam National Assembly Television, and Vietnam Television for voters to follow and monitor .
