Nurturing the spiritual foundation of society

Market mechanisms, international integration and the convenience of information technology make modern society change rapidly. Human communication and access to information are no longer limited by borders or geographical space. In that context, Thai Nguyen province always attaches importance to the work of building a system of cultural values to orient people's thoughts, lifestyles and personalities in the new era.

It is undeniable that market mechanisms, international integration and information technology are inevitable trends of modern times. However, along with opportunities are many challenges.

Pragmatic, competitive lifestyles that emphasize personal interests are the downside of the free market. Foreign worship and following deviant trends can easily overshadow local culture.

And the downside of technology is that it makes people more distant from each other, traditional values in family and community are gradually fading away. Even in a home, the connection can be replaced by smartphones, social networks and virtual space.

Because of the clear awareness of these potential risks, in recent times, all levels and sectors in the province, especially the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, have implemented many practical activities to orient the cultural value system for the people.

From promoting information and propaganda, educating civilized lifestyles, promoting traditional ethical standards to organizing cultural movements at the grassroots level, all aim at the goal of building Thai Nguyen people to develop comprehensively - in terms of knowledge, personality, culture and compassion.

After the merger, Thai Nguyen province now has more than 1.7 million people, with nearly 50 ethnic groups living together in 92 communes and wards.

This is a land with complex terrain, once a resting place for ethnic minority communities who lived a nomadic life or migrated due to historical changes.

Although the settlement journey of ethnic communities is difficult, they still preserve and pass down unique customs and practices through many generations.

That has created the richness and diversity in the cultural value system of Thai Nguyen, a colorful "cultural flower garden", from brocade colors to Then singing, Tinh lute, and traditional festivals.

Despite many economic difficulties, ethnic communities in Thai Nguyen always preserve their own identity, with profound and humane philosophies of life.

Solidarity, community spirit, loyalty, and respect for ancestors are still preserved as core values, contributing to creating a solid spiritual foundation for society.

Those values, if properly nurtured in the new era, will be the "compass" that helps people not lose their way amid the rapid changes of the digital age.

To spread positive values in the community, over the past years, Thai Nguyen province has strongly implemented movements such as: "All people unite to build a cultural life", "Building cultural families, cultural residential areas" associated with implementing a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals.

These activities not only contribute to orienting a healthy lifestyle but also help to arouse self-awareness, awareness of preserving and promoting cultural identity in each citizen.

One of the bright spots in the work of building the province's cultural value system is focusing on encouraging ethnic minority communities to preserve their unique cultural traditions.

Every year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism selects ethnic minority folk artists to participate in festivals and cultural performances organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Along with that, the Culture sector has also built and maintained cultural models associated with practical life in areas where many ethnic minorities live.

Cultural preservation does not stop at traditional festivals or folk art performances, but is also reflected in people's daily lives.

From the way of living and behaving in the family and community, to the spirit of solidarity and mutual love. All are factors that form a system of unique cultural values, suitable to the characteristics of each region and each ethnic group, but all aim towards the common standards of modern society.

By valuing culture and ideology, Thai Nguyen has created a stable social environment, contributing to the comprehensive development of people.

People, especially those in remote and mountainous areas, are increasingly aware of protecting national identity and proactively "immunizing" themselves against deviant and harmful cultural trends.

In the market mechanism, despite being subject to many material impacts, many families still maintain a loyal and close-knit lifestyle. In the digital age, people know how to use information technology proactively and selectively, without becoming dependent or losing themselves... contributing to building a harmonious, humane, and sustainably developing society based on cultural foundations.
