
Keo Pagoda, whose Chinese name is Than Quang Tu, is an ancient pagoda worshipping Zen Master Duong Khong Lo. In 2012, Keo Pagoda was recognized as a special national monument. In 2017, Keo Pagoda Festival was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. In 2021, Keo Pagoda's altar was recognized as a national treasure.
Keo Pagoda Festival in the fall of 2025 takes place from October 30 to November 4 (ie from September 10-15, At Ty year). The opening ceremony of the festival will be held on the morning of October 30 and will be broadcast live on the fanpage of Hung Yen Newspaper, Radio and Television.
The highlight of the opening ceremony is a special art program with the theme "Divine Light" to honor the Keo Pagoda heritage, pay tribute to ancestors, and at the same time contribute to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values through folk art performances - modern, combining traditional rituals with expressive drama. The art program includes 3 parts with traditional art forms such as: rowing, shallow swimming, frog jumping , puppetry ... vividly recreated through the performance of professional artists and actors.
At the rehearsal of the opening ceremony of Keo Pagoda Festival in the fall of 2025, delegates contributed ideas to ensure the program took place solemnly, safely, smoothly, imbued with traditional cultural identity, leaving a good impression in the hearts of local people and visitors from all over the world when attending the festival.
