Four houses burned down in Binh Duc ward.

At approximately 1:10 PM on February 5th, a fire broke out on Thai Phien Street, Binh Khanh 2 Hamlet, Binh Duc Ward, An Giang Province. The fire destroyed four houses; there were no casualties, and the extent of property damage is yet to be estimated.

According to initial information, at the time mentioned, Ms. Le Thi My (born in 1980) discovered a fire on the altar in the attic of Mr. Tran Dai Phuc's house (born in 1974), which is next to hers, so she shouted to alert the people inside the house.

The fire then quickly spread to neighboring houses. At the same time, Ms. My called the Binh Duc Ward Police and the fire department for assistance.

Upon receiving the report, the Chau Thanh area Fire and Rescue Team (My Thoi neighborhood) quickly mobilized 5 fire trucks, nearly 100 officers and soldiers, local forces, and residents to actively fight the fire until it was completely brought under control.

The fire destroyed two houses and damaged two others by more than 80%. Upon receiving the information, the leaders of Binh Duc ward immediately went to the scene to direct rescue efforts, conduct a scene investigation, and offer support to the affected households.

Authorities are currently conducting a scene investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
