Late on July 11, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police, coordinated with Vuon Lai Ward Police to block off the scene to investigate the cause of the fire that severely damaged two 5-story houses at the corner of Ngo Gia Tu and Ly Thai To streets.

At around 8:30 p.m. the same day, a fire broke out at a billboard covering nearly 50 square meters, then quickly spread into two houses selling fast food and pawn services.


At this time, there were some customers inside the fast food restaurant. These people hurriedly ran out with the restaurant's staff. The fire quickly spread, engulfing the entire billboard, and black smoke billowed out. The owner and some staff used mini fire extinguishers to approach but could not put out the fire.

The incident caused traffic congestion at the intersection. Traffic police and ward police were dispatched to the scene to control traffic and divert traffic to assist with firefighting.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police mobilized vehicles and officers to the scene to put out the fire. After about 30 minutes, the fire was controlled.


At the scene, the billboard burned down, revealing thick iron frames covering the entire facade of the two houses. Inside the two houses, many properties were burned and severely damaged.
