Big fire at fabric warehouse in Da Nang

On the morning of July 8, a major fire broke out at a fabric warehouse on Nguyen Dinh Tuu Street (An Khe Ward, Da Nang City). The fire did not cause any human casualties but burned down many properties in the warehouse.

The fire engulfed the entire fabric warehouse.

According to initial information, at around 8:40 a.m. the same day, people discovered black smoke billowing from a closed warehouse. Just a few minutes later, a fierce fire broke out, engulfing the entire warehouse, with a column of black smoke hundreds of meters high, causing chaos in the surrounding area.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police (PCCC-CNCH) of Da Nang City Police dispatched 6 specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene. The firefighting force had to break the warehouse door to get inside. Because the warehouse contained a lot of fabric - a flammable material - the fire spread quickly, accompanied by a large amount of smoke, making it difficult to extinguish the fire.

The authorities divided into several teams, used gas masks, and sprayed water to cool and isolate the fire, preventing it from spreading to surrounding areas. An Khe Ward Police also blocked off a section of the road to ensure public safety and facilitate firefighting efforts.

After more than an hour of effort, the fire was brought under control. However, the amount of smoke was still large, so the authorities continued to spray water to completely extinguish it.

Many assets and equipment in the warehouse were burned down.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
