According to Al Jazeera, a terrible fire broke out at a shopping mall in Kut city, Wasit province, Iraq, on July 16.
Video footage of the fire shows flames engulfing the five-storey building in Kut as firefighters battle to contain the blaze.

At least 61 people were confirmed dead in the fire and many others were still missing, Iraq's Interior Ministry said. Civil defense teams rescued 45 people from the building.
Earlier, a city health official said: "We have compiled a list of 59 victims whose identities have been confirmed, one body was so badly burned that it was difficult to identify."

The fire broke out at a supermarket and restaurant in the mall, where families were dining and shopping, said Mohammed al-Mayahi, governor of Wasit province.
“A tragedy has befallen us,” said Governor Mohammed al-Mayahi.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
