Information from Viet Duc Hospital said that doctors there have just treated a case of a 50-year-old man in Hanoi who had an accident in his 'little man' area while having sex.
Previously, on January 8, Viet Duc Hospital received a 50-year-old male patient from Hanoi who was admitted to the hospital with swelling, bruising at the base of the penis, and pain in the penis.
MSc. Dr. Vo Van Minh, Department of Urology Surgery - Viet Duc Hospital, on emergency duty promptly examined the patient and discovered that Mr. T. had sharp pain at the base of his penis and lost tone on one side.

Having sex in the wrong position, a man in his 50s had to be hospitalized (photo TL).
Through investigation, the patient said that while having sex, he heard a "crackling" sound and felt sharp pain, unable to continue having sex.
After 3 hours of pain, the hematoma and bruising at the base of the penis increased so the patient was taken to Viet Duc Hospital by his family for emergency care.
Doctors diagnosed Mr. T. with a ruptured corpus cavernosum and promptly performed surgery on him. During the exploratory surgery, the right corpus cavernosum was found to be ruptured, with a large amount of blood pooling under the skin around the circumference of the penis.
Doctors performed sutures to restore the cavernous body fascia and remove the hematoma. After surgery, the patient's condition was stable and he was monitored and cared for in the treatment department.
Also related to the condition of patients with ruptured corpus cavernosum due to incorrect sexual position, at the Andrology Center, Viet Duc Hospital, within the past month, 5 cases have been recorded.
From this reality, doctors recommend: Incorrect sexual positions are the leading risk group for causing damage to the "little guy" because men often hastily slide their "little guy" out of the vagina, hitting hard areas such as the hips, ischial bones, and pubic area of the partner, causing the penis to bend at an angle, injuring the urethra, making treatment very difficult.
Therefore, men need to be careful when having sex, avoid strange positions or unsafe actions that can easily lead to accidents.
In particular, doctors also note that when there are signs of penile fracture, men should not be shy or hesitate but should immediately go to reputable medical facilities for timely intervention and treatment to help "the little guy" avoid complications, causing difficulties in treatment and leaving behind consequences such as erectile dysfunction, loss of physiological ability, and even severe damage that can cause urethral rupture.
